8Youngest winner in race history: Reilly Johnson
Johnson won the 100th Dipsea in 2010 with a run time of 1:12:31, breaking Megan McGowan's 1991 record (age 9) as the youngest-ever winner. She had a 25-minute head start.

Schmid won in 2012 at 72 — the oldest winner in the race's 120-year history. He didn't start competitive running until age 63. He died in 2025 at 83.

Pilcher won in 2009, 2015, 2016 and 2019 — joining hall of famers Sal Vasquez and Shirley Matson as the only competitors to win the race at least four times.
